We offer training and advice on all aspects of safety. We also run safety courses and advise on safety statements and radio courses.
All floats must be registered no later than 15th March with a complete application form and fee submitted. Those who turn up on the morning without registering will not be allowed to take part.
The parade took place on Saturday, 17th March. It assembled from the Fisher's Rowe area up to the Maudlintown area at 10.15am and moved off at 11.00am from the junction at Fisher's Rowe, William's Street. It took in the following route which can be seen on the map below: William's Street, Trinity street, Paul Quay, Cresent Quay, Commercial Quay, Wellington Place, Redmond Square and West Gate. The Reviewing Stand was located on the Quay Front adjacent to the Bridge. This year's parade saw many floats and numerous marching bands, along with stilt walkers and face painters and was one of Wexford's best parades, despite the recession and bad weather.
Groups assembled from Fisher's Rowe up to the Green in Maudlintown at 10.15am sharp, while the floats assembled at 10am from the Mace Service Station in Trinity Street on the right hand side of the road, down towards the Talbot Hotel. The parade moved off at 11.10am and took 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete. Prizegiving took place on Monday 19th March at 7pm in Mackens, The Bullring.
